Neston Home Farm – Wiltshire
Paul Redmore raises Certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World (AGW) and Certified Non-GMO by AGW dairy cows at Neston Home Farm near Corsham in Wiltshire.
The dairy cows at Neston Home Farm are rotationally managed, grazing one section of pasture before being moved to fresh fields. This type of management allows grass to recover before cows return to graze again; it also keeps the soil properly fertilised and minimises the build-up of internal parasites, thereby avoiding reliance on chemical treatments.
In addition to being Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW, the dairy cows at Neston Home Farm are Certified Non-GMO by AGW. Developed at the request of farmers and consumers seeking a meaningful non-GMO label, Certified Non-GMO by AGW guarantees food is produced without the use of genetically modified feed, supplements or ingredients, and comes from animals raised according to the highest animal welfare standards using sustainable agriculture methods.
Neston Home Farm supplies Lye Cross Farm with AGW-certified milk, which is used to produce their award-winning cheeses. For more information about Lye Cross Farm, visit lyecrossfarm.co.uk. Follow Lye Cross Farm on Facebook and Twitter.
